I for Infidelity from start to (almost) finish

by on Jul.30, 2011, under blog

With only a few more alphabet paintings from the finishing line, I have been locking myself in the studio to paint. I for Infidelity has become one of  my favourite  alphabet paintings. Here is a brief visual journey through my working process of an alphabet painting:

First step of drawing the impala.

The impala still looks more like a horse or a deer at this stage.

At the beginning of this series, all paintings were dark and earthy. Some of my recent alphabet paintings have become colourful. I for Infidelity is bright yellow!

The body complete except for the horns!

Started to outline the girl.

The girl almost complete!

Mixing the paint for the background!

I always outline around the figures first.

The background is done! Now I only need to paint in the dress when the background dries!

My apology for the inconsistent white balance iphone photos.

See all the finished alphabet paintings to date.

Michelle Kuen Suet Fung 馮捲雪

Intricate, delicate and very cute drawings and paintings by Chinese Canadian artist Michelle Kuen Suet Fung.
